Dear Educator,

I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not writing. My mother said I was a lot like John Henry, only I was born with a pencil in my hand. Ideas are around us all the time. My ideas come from reading, writing, and living day-to-day in the world. Remind your students if they sit still long enough, allowing themselves to be reflective, a good idea is sure to find them. Then it is up to them to follow where it leads!

In the years that I taught elementary and middle school students I realized more and more the importance of supporting young ones to become able and effective communicators. What a give to give, as simple and complex as the turning world.

I look forward to working with you and your students.

Sincerely yours,
