Time with the author program info ....
Jerdine Nolen , Award winning Author shares her love of books with students, teachers, parents, and people of all ages in her Time With the Author Program

She has been honored by the children of Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, Arizona, Washington, Nevada, Missouri, and Indiana who selected who selected at least one of her books for their state book award.

Requirements
* audience space which meet fire safety code regulations
* audience space with the ability to darken the room to show slides
* medium to large table for display
* tall rolling cart with extension cord (library/media cart)
* Kodak Carousel Projector on hand just in case
* large screen or projection space (large white sheet/white wall, etc.)
* free standing microphone or lapel mic (if the space necessitates)

Information on Presentations/Sessions
* no more than three (3) presentations
* please schedule a 10-15 minute break in between sessions
* about 20-45 minutes in length depending on grade levels present
* audience can be multi-aged grade groups (if kindergartners have to be mixed in with fifth graders the presentation will flexibly accommodate all)

What Happens During the Presentation?
A variety of activities including audience preparation for listening, read aloud, display slides of the books, use of games to motivate, discussion of curricular connections, discussion of writing process including letter writing and revision, question-answer period, express the enjoyable sides of reading, writing, and listening.
